This Tuesday/Sunday ride group provides a moderately paced (16-19 mph cruising speeds) ride, typically for 30-45 miles. In addition this group serves as a recovery ride for faster riders following their more strenuous Saturday rides.
These are no drop rides. Expect cruising speeds of 16-19 mph on the flats (faster down hill and down wind), with an average speed of 16 mph. However, we may separate into faster and slower groups at some point during the ride, in which case a ride leader will always accompany the slower group. Rides typically start at 8:00 a.m. during warm weather, but may start earlier in the day during extremely hot weather. During the winter, rides will start at 10:00 a.m., although rides may be pushed to later in the day during cold snaps. The policy is for everyone to have arrived by the stated meet up time, with 10 more minutes allowed for the people who came by car to get set up to ride. If everyone is ready sooner than 10 minutes after the meet up time, we depart early. E-bike riders are welcome, but please respect our cruising speed zone.
We normally ride in a single pace line, but we sometimes will double up on quiet roads.
The numbers below each group name are the typical cruising speeds of the group. Most groups will pick up speed at the end of a ride, and average speeds are generally on the lower end of the range presented.
A gray backgound denotes a tentative ride that has not been confirmed.
A yellow background denotes a group that you are a member of.
