Registration is now open for the 2022 Gainesville Cycling Festival! Featuring the Santa Fe Century, Horse Farm Hundred, and the Ride For Recovery. The event is the weekend of October 22-23.

New Horse Farm Hundred Route

We're doing a new route for the Horse Farm Hundred and Horse Farm Tours for 2022.

In place of one big loop out of Flemington, we're now doing two loops with Flemington as the hub. (This was necessary as our long-time lunch stop is being used by another event.)

Perhaps the bigger news is CR234 east of Micanopy (aka Angle Road) is no longer on the route. Many riders had told us they were no longer doing our event to avoid that road. Instead we'll use the brand new wide and smooth bike lanes on US441; this route is surprisingly scenic, especially as it swoops down onto Paynes Prairie.

Gravel Meander at the Horse Farm Tours

We've added a Sunday gravel option to our long-running Saturday Gravel Challenge. Start in Flemington for lots of pretty, quiet country mixed surface roads. Many are paved with chip seal, or regressing to gravel due to neglect. Others are hard packed dirt under gorgeous oak canopies.

There are scenic views of horse farms, Orange Lake, and two quaint little old towns. There are a few challenging hills.

The route can be done on an endurance or touring bike with 28s or wider, or on a hardtail MTB, although a gravel bike probably works best.

T-shirts, T-shirts, T-shirts!

A unique feature of the Gainesville Cycling Festival is that we offer many different styles of t-shirts. You can get standard shirts in both technical fabric and cotton for both men and women. In technical fabric for both men and women you can also get no sleeve and long sleeve shirts.

BUT. We special order all but the men's (unisex) t-shirts. To get one of the special ones, you must register by Thursday, October 6. This gives our vendor time to source all of these different shirts.

Did we mention that you can also get a unique shirt for both the Santa Fe Century and Horse Farm Hundred!

We also offer a standard t-shirt for the Ride For Recovery (whew!).
