VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

We have a significantly large number of volunteer openings for the upcoming Gainesville Cycling Festival (Oct 26-27). Please sign up ASAP so we can continue to support the Boys and Girls Club of Alachua County in this annual fundraiser. The event also provides a significant portion of our annual Club budget.

Riders Needed!

The last few years we have had to reduce our contribution to the Boys and Girls Club because we haven't had enough riders sign up. With an 800-member club, we should be able to do better! At this writing, we have 124 riders signed up, but only 35 of them are GCC members. We need more of us out there to make our out-of-town guests feel welcome.

New Brevet Coordinator

After 16 years on-the-job, Jim Wilson has retired as our Regional Brevet Administrator. 

Travis Mitchell, who completed Paris-Brest-Paris in August (the premier Brevet event in the world), has taken his place and is now on the GCC Board of Directors.  At 33, Travis has considerably lowered the average age on the Board!

The Veterans Day Poker Run is scheduled for Monday, November 11. Watch for further details in November.
