Action Alert

Our ability to bike safely is under threat.

The Secretary of Transportation has said the federal government shouldn't be funding bike lanes. The top member of Congress writing the next transportation reauthorization bill has said that the next five years of federal funding won't include bicycling and walking projects.

Now the Administration is threatening to tear up bike lanes on federal land in Washington, D.C., putting their rhetoric into action and setting a precedent they may expect other communities across the country to follow.

If the Administration succeeds in DC, they could do it everywhere. Stand with DC and tell Congress that people around the country care about bicycling, both in our Nation's Capitol and in our own neighborhoods. Please join us in pushing back!
