Labor Day Picnic

Monday, September 1
Boulware Springs

It's Picnic Time! The club will provide chicken and a vegetarian option. ** BRING ** side dishes to complement the main course and for dessert.

We will provide enough chicken for those who RSVP. Please RSVP before the weekend if you will be eating the main course so that we can buy enough food.

Rides should be planned to meet at the park between 8 and 9 am; eating will commence when the chicken arrives, between 11 and noon.

Boulware Springs is located on SE 15th St. See http://gccfla.org/starts/ridelocboulware.html for more detailed directions. We'll be using the pavilion at the lower parking lot next to the Trail. Use the North entrance.

RSVP in the Members Area.

Secretary Duffy

"I do think it's a problem when we're making massive investments in bike lanes at the expense of vehicles."

-- Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy

Disagree?

We do. We know that safer roads for all road users should be a federal priority and that convenience for cars shouldn't come at the expense of bicyclist's lives.

Now you can tell Secretary Duffy what you think. The U.S. Department of Transportation is soliciting citizen feedback on "any aspect of Federal transportation infrastructure policy to inform the surface transportation reauthorization process." Every American is invited to share their thoughts on what should be a federal priority in the next reauthorization bill, one that will shape funding and policy through 2031.
You have until August 20 to provide your comments. (Your comments can be brief!)

Tell Secretary Duffy What Your Priorities Are

The League is submitting our own comments and we'd love for you to join us, both in echoing our priorities and in making your voice heard for safer streets and roads for everyone.

Find our tips on priorities to submit here.

While we offer guidance on what to write, we receive the most positive responses from the U.S. DOT and Congress when they receive personal messages from you, in your own words.
