Holiday Party Saturday

Join your fellow cyclists for a holiday gathering at the Cypress & Grove Brewing Company at 6 pm on Saturday, December 8th. The club will provide an assortment of snacks and hors d'oeuvres; craft beers, wine, and soft drinks are available for sale at the Brewery.

Crickets

In our newsletter last month, I noted that the Club is at a crossroads where we need to find a number of new leaders in order to continue operating as we have since 1991. So far, we have one person who has expressed an interest. Our most immediate need is for a President.

One of the possibilities under discussion is dropping down to one century event for the Festival, with the hope that some of you would find that less challenging and step up to volunteer for one of the open Festival positions (Director, Aid Director, Food Director). We are approaching the time when we should start working on publicity for the Festival, something we will not be able to do without a Director to ensure that there WILL BE a Festival in 2019.

Festival Date Change

Due to a conflict, the tentative date for the Festival has been moved to October 26-27, 2019.

Brevet Registration Open

Registration is now open for the GCC Brevet Series. As this is a Paris-Brest-Paris year, we'll have 200k (Jan 5), 300k (Feb 9), 400k (Mar 9), and 600k (Apr 6) brevets.
