One does NOT have to be associated with the UF College of Veterinary Medicine to ride with this group -- everyone is welcome. Team VetMed rides to support scholarships for the University of Florida's College of Veterinary Medicine. Horse Farm Hundred participants who raise at least $100 in scholarship donations will receive a Team VetMed Jersey, a catered pasta dinner the night before the ride, and additional support at the Flemington rest stops during the ride.
Group training rides are held throughout the year except for the winter months when rides will be held on an ad hoc basis. Typically, we will do a longer weekend ride and a shorter after work ride on Wednesdays. Our main focus is on training first time century riders for the Horse Farm Hundred in October. From July onward we will begin to do longer and longer weekend rides in preparation for that goal, and ride speeds will be reduced as needed to accommodate 'first timers.'
This group does not currently have any rides on the schedule.
When you join the group (in the Members Area) you will be able to elect to receive instant email notifications of group ride postings.
