Chandler's Quarter Century
In 1987, all of the elected officers of the GCC left office. Chandler Otis stepped up, and pretty much single handedly ran the club for five years, scheduling rides and putting on the Horse Farm Hundred. When the Club incorporated in 1991, Chandler was elected the first President of the incorporated club. Chandler has continued to contribute ever since, currently as our Picnic Manager.
At the Chili Chilly picnic on January 19, the Club presented an award to Chandler to commemorate a Quarter Century of extraordinary service and dedication to the Gainesville Cycling Club. We're looking forward to Chandler's second quarter century!
