Southwest 13th Street Construction Complete and Open for Public Use
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Gainesville Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) has finalized a suite of projects located along the Southwest 13th Street corridor, between Southwest 16th Street and Archer Road. Included in the list of projects is the new Double Helix overpass, a staircase and plaza that enables pedestrians traveling along Southwest 13th Street to access the Depot Avenue Rail-Trail; the reconstruction of the Depot Avenue Rail-Trail with additional nighttime lighting for evening commuters and new brick sidewalks, lighting and planted medians along Southwest 13th Street.
The construction of these projects is now complete and the Depot Avenue Rail-Trail and overpass are open for public use.
