GH Trail Flood

A stretch on the Gainesville-Hawthorne Rail Trail has been flooded for several months.  The extent of the flood has varied with rainfall, but has been up to half a football field in length and a half-foot deep.  It is possible to ride through it slowly, but you'll probably have residual water in your rims; you'll need to half-pedal through areas that are the full half-foot deep.

Please send email to info@gccfla.org if you find conditions have changed, or encounter other significant flooded areas.

The flooded area is just west of the eastern entrance gate to the Paynes Prairie State Park at SE 30th St, about 4 miles from Boulware Springs.
