Mowing on the Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail
GHT sight line improvement. There is a 2 mile stretch of trail that was not built on the railroad alignment to avoid sensitive areas of the park. This segment starts at the 90 degree turn crossing the La Chua Trail and continues on through the hammock, hills, dips, curves until the trail becomes straight again. The inside of every turn is being mowed to provide a greater sight line for our visitors. This will enhance everyone’s safety and improve the overall visitor experience. This work will probably be done not later than June 15, most likely earlier (weather permitting).
