High Springs - Newberry Trail Meeting
Bicyclist Alert: Important Meeting about High Springs to Newberry Bike Trail
Recently Governor Scott vetoed our request for money to build the High Springs to Newberry Bike Trail. On June 27 the Alachua County Commission will discuss the possible use of Wild Spaces dollars to support the building of this trail (item 32). This trail will bring an increase in commerce to the businesses of High Springs and Newberry. More visitors to our restaurants, and shops in the areas and access to the Nature Coast Trail. We need your support in numbers and people to speak up about the importance of creating this trail a very importance connector of the growing Florida bike trail grid.
The meeting is scheduled for 9 am in the Jack Durrance Auditorium on the second floor at 12 SE 1st St. Public comment is scheduled for 9:30 am. This item is well into the agenda (32 of 44 items).
