GCC Ride and Admin Emails

by Roger Pierce

We are continuing to experience difficulty in getting GCC emails from our web server delivered to our members.  These are emails announcing individual rides sent to members of the riding group, emails sent by group members to their group, eNews, and emails notifying members of the need to renew (and a few other lesser used ones).

In the last year, we have changed internet service providers (ISP) twice in an attempt to alleviate these problems.  We are seeing fewer emails that are outright rejected with our current ISP, but still have problems.

The biggest problem is that most, if not all, emails sent to gmail addresses are delivered to the SPAM folder. Many folks do not check this folder regularly, and thus are missing our emails.

We also have emails bounced (not delivered) intermittently that are sent to AOL, Earthlink, and Road Runner addresses.

The good news is that GCCMail is delivered from a separate vendor and is not affected by these problems.

We are continuing to seek solutions.
