Whole Body Fascia and Movement Integration

by Coach K

Hey y’all

Guess it is time for another Coach K article. I went to a HUGE 3 day coaching conference in Orlando a few weeks ago.  There were lots of high level speakers talking about the concept of whole body fascia and movement integration.  Now this is not necessarily a new concept as Tai Chi Chuan has been teaching that for centuries. HOWEVER, what is so impressive is adding some Western biomechanics and Kinesiology to the picture. Now it is possible to see how tight shoulders will limit your hips and vice versa. More importantly, it is a great system to determine the root of any limitation and then how to fix it. I have been using it for 3 weeks with all my clients and can see amazing changes in very short amount of time.  Since this is a dynamic system, the results are much longer lasting than passive stretching or massage. Plus, you can make your movement patterns stronger and more balanced as you open up your joints.

No longer will I just “add muscle” or work harder. Priority is to get the whole machine working smoothly and then make it stronger.
