Your Millhopper Crew At Work

Dear Alachua County Public Works representative.  A pothole in the Millhopper Road bicycle lane has broken through the asphalt to the underlying soil and is a hazard to bicyclists. Attached is a photo. It’s location is 0.50 miles east of the San Felasco park hiking entrance on the north side of Millhopper road.
Recommendation:  Repair the pothole.

Additional concerns:
•    There are several potholes in Millhopper Road that have broken through the asphalt to the underlying soil in the area between the bicycle and car lanes, which could be hazardous to a bicyclist.
Recommendation:  Repair the potholes.
•    Plant material has overgrown a significant percentage of the bicycle lane, and correspondingly reduced the space available for cyclists. This problem is occurring in various locations on Millhopper Road.
Recommendation:  Remove the plant material.

Thank you for correcting these safety hazards.
