Bike Month Kickoff & Free Concert & Bike Valet
Celebrate National Bike Month under the stars at Bike Month Kickoff on Friday, May 6, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Bo Diddley Plaza. Free bike valet parking will be provided by Active Streets Alliance and the Gainesville Cycling Club. At 5:30, the Mayor will officially open National Bike Month, and a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held for the new Gainesville bike share system. A raffle will be held to give away several free annual memberships to the bike share program. A Free Fridays concert featuring Tapestry Rewoven: A Carole King Tribute will start at 8 p.m. Bike valet service will be open until the music ends, to accommodate concertgoers. Invite your friends and neighbors, and don't forget to bring a blanket or folding chair to this family-friendly event. See you Downtown, on your bikes!
