at The Freewheel Project, 618 South Main St., Gainesville, Florida
13 April 2016, 7-9 PM

Beautiful weather is back, so it's time to get on the bike! Do you want to ride, or ride more, and ride smarter? We can help! The Gainesville Cycling Club (GCC) announces a Bicycle Education Workshop on street cycling. The workshop is open to all adults who are interested in street cycling. We will conduct a classroom workshop with an emphasis on commuting in urban areas. The workshop will employ various group dynamics that promote participation by all in a safe space to discuss various topics related to effective street cycling. We will highlight decision making in various situations, including establishing lane position, negotiating intersections, and managing instances of conflicts and accidents. The workshop is the first of a planned program of GCC bike education activities. The first workshop is planned for Wednesday, 13 April 2016, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, at The Freewheel Project, located at 618 South Main Street in Gainesville (www.thefreewheelproject.org). If you are interested, please contact Stephen Perz, GCC Education Director, at stephen_perz@yahoo.com, to confirm your participation. Have a great ride today!
