New GCC President

by Roger Pierce

At the March Gainesville Cycling Club Board of Directors meeting, Ally Gill was elected to succeed Jayson O'Mahoney as President of the Gainesville Cycing Club.

Jayson stepped down earlier this month to focus on new projects and put more time into his Gravel Cyclist web page.  During his three-year tenure, Jayson was very active, adding new events to the GCC schedule, and adding his touch to others.  Among his accomplishments were moving the Horse Farm Hundred ride start to the First Magnitude Brewing Company, working with Todd Leedy to add the Gravel Challenge to the Santa Fe Century, leading the GCC to three straight championships in the National Mileage Challenge, and establishing the Heartbreaker gravel road invitational.

The position of GCC Vice President is now open.  If you are interested in serving in that capacity, contact any Board member.
