Brevet Series Results
In GCC's abbreviated Brevet Series, over 60 riders completed almost 14,000 miles in our three brevets.
The longest ride completed in 2014 gives priority to people who qualify for Paris-Brest-Paris in 2015. 6000 riders from around the world are expected to participate in PBP next year; United States ridership will probably be capped at about 700.
First held in 1891, PBP is the oldest organized cycling event in the world.
Although it is widely credited as the inspiration for the Tour de France, professional cyclists were banned after 1961; there has never been a doping scandal in PBP.
