Remembering Dr. Jack

Jack Llewellyn's niece sent us the following:

Upon the death of my Uncle Jack, (Jack Llewellyn), I wanted to express my love and fondness for all the joy he brought me. Maybe some more people will find comfort in my remembrance. Peace be with you all, with more ardent prayers for safety.

Uncle Jack has been on my mind a lot in the past few months. Mainly because we thought Jackson or Jack would be a great name for our baby due in six weeks, if it's a boy.

I always have a smile in my mind when I think of Uncle Jack. His free spirit and listening ear are so endearing. Even though we were separated by geography, I always felt a closeness that made me feel connected no matter how long it had been since we had seen each other. My faith tells me this will continue, even though I will not see his face or grasp his hug again in this life.

What comes to mind when I remember Uncle Jack are two strong characteristics: perseverence, and striving to excel. He demonstrated these so many times in his life. This is what I will carry with me as I remember him, tell my children about him, and strive to live with joy just like my Uncle Jack.

Stuart H. Krantz wrote the following:

A moment of silence for Jack Llewelyn, not because he was a biker, but because he was one of the nicest guys I ever knew. He will be sorely missed and never forgotten.
