Memorial Day Picnic

Monday, May 29
Hart Springs

4240 SW 86th Ave, Bell, FL

Ride the back roads of Gilchrist County to work up an appetite and a need to jump in a cool spring. Time your arrival for gate-opening at 9 am if you will be doing a ride from Hart Springs. Food is planned for noon. Chandler and crew are whipping up a build your own Mexican main course; bring salads and deserts, and a lawn chair. PLEASE RSVP in the Members Area if you are going to eat the main course.

Entry into Hart Springs is $5 per head ($3 seniors), max $15 per car (up to 6). If you are arriving by bike, please stop and pay (those doing rides from the park don’t have to pay to get back in, but show your arm band).

Hart Springs is 37 miles from I-75, about 45 minutes. Take SR 26 west from Gainesville (Newberry Road). When SR 26 takes a big left, continue straight onto SW 85th Lane, and then turn right onto CR232. Go 4 miles and turn left onto CR344. The park is on the right before you get to the end of the road.

Festival Aid Stop Organizing Meeting

Wednesday, May 17, 7 pm

5015 NW 19th Place

With only five months to go before the Gainesville Cycling Festival, it will be here before we know it!

We are looking for folks who want to be on our management team running the Festival rest stops on October 21 and 22. We have nine rest stops (5 on Saturday, 4 on Sunday) that need chiefs, and could use help in managing food procurement, truck management, and supply tub set up. One of the great things about the Festival is that you can work one day, and ride the other. Some of those working the up front jobs can ride both days!

If you would like to step up, email and we'll send directions to the meeting.

Festival Course Managers

We are looking for a Course Marshall and two Course Supervisors to manage the Santa Fe Century and Horse Farm Hundred courses on October 21 and 22.

The Course Marshall supervises the Course Supervisors and course signers/painters, coordinates with the Alachua County Sheriff, and ensures equipment is smoothly transferred from Saturday to Sunday.

The Course Supervisors manage the SAG drivers for their event, and check their course to remove safety hazards before the event.

Please email if you're interested!

Bikes 4 Vets Needs Mechanics!

If you're handy with a wrench and have some experience fixing up old bikes, the Bikes 4 Vets Service Group needs you! We have a slew of bikes that need a bit of TLC, and a line of vets waiting for bikes.

Please email Diann if you can help out. As with all of our Service Groups, regular contributors have their annual club dues waived.

Registration links above are for use only; direct other members to the Members Area, other persons to the event page.
