Millhopper Crew Gathering

Friday, February 3
Cohen Residence, 6415 NW 97th Ct

The mission of the Millhopper Crew is to keep the bike lanes on Millhopper Road free of significant obstacles. To do this, we ride the road, removing stuff from the bike lanes as we go.

The more folks we have on the Crew, the better we can do this job, and the easier it is on everyone as we can spread out the work better. The Crew is currently short a few people to do the work effectively. We have seven teams of two each with each team responsible for two miles (one on the north side and one on the south side of Millhopper). To keep the amount of work down the Crew leader rides Millhopper once a week to check which sections need to remove debris. Please join to help us keep Millhopper's bike lane clean.

We want YOU! Come on out and meet the Crew, and sign up for a shift!

We'll be serving dinner at 6:30, so please RSVP so we'll know how much food to provide.

The Club waives annual dues for active members of our service groups, one of which is the Millhopper Crew.

Directions: Go 3.5 miles west on Millhopper Road from the Chevron. Turn right onto 97th St, then left and right onto 97th Court. 6415 will be on the right in just under a quarter mile.

Registration is now open for the GCC 2017 Brevet series. Members should use the button in the Members Area to access the registration form (non-members start from the Brevet page which you can get to from the main GCC web site).

The final event (the 300k) is on February 4.

RUSA is picking up the cost of insurance for it's members this year. Non-RUSA members will pay an additional $5 for insurance. Avoid this by joining RUSA and having your membership number before signing up for the brevets.

You don't need a sweetheart to do this ride. But it is a "sweetheart" of a route. The ride includes options of 25, 52, 62 or 100 miles. All rides start at Suwannee Bicycle Association (SBA) Headquarters, White Springs, FL. Longer rides start at 8am. The 25 mile ride starts at 9am. Headquarters opens at 7am Sunday morning for check-in, on site registration and breakfast which includes coffee, juice, fruit, oatmeal and bagels. A post-ride buffet dinner will be served at SBA Headquarters from noon ...until the last century rider is in. You can also check-in or register on Saturday, after 4pm.
