Annual Meeting, Party, and Swap Meet

Saturday, March 19, 5 to 9 pm, Holy Faith Catholic Church Social Hall, 747 NW 43rd St. We'll start setting up at 4:30 - helpers are welcome!

Enjoy food catered by the Reggae Shack Cafe. Dinner will be served at about 6 pm.

We will provide ice tea, water, wine, and beer.

Cost to attend the event is $10 per person for GCC members. This fee covers rent for the room, beverages, the meal, and incidentals. It is heavily subsidized by the club.

Cost for non-member guests is $25 and must be paid in advance. RSVP by email to roger@gccfla.org and we'll provide instructions for making the payment.

Dress is as casual as the weather permits.

SWAP Meet
Bring your cycling stuff and have it set up by 5 pm for members to look over and perhaps make you an offer.

Special Event: Concours d' Elegance
Bring your "special" bike to compete for an award in the Tenth Annual Concours d' Elegance. Members will vote for the winner in four categories:

Modern Road - must be a bike in current use by a member on club rides
Presentation - any beautiful bike
Antique - manufactured before 1991
Commuter - a bike used regularly for commuting to work, school, or for shopping - to be eligible, the bike must be ridden to the meeting!

Due to space limitations in the hall, limit one bike per member entered in the competition. Judging starts at 5 pm; to ensure maximum votes, have your bike in place by then!

Ride To Remember Volunteers Needed

We're looking for a few volunteers to put out and retrieve signs before and after the Ride To Remember. Reply or call Roger Pierce at 378-7063 if you can help.

A special Thank You to Martin Cox at Super Cool Bike Shop, and also to Fred Lintz at Gator Cycle! These two premier Gainesville bike shops are generous in their support of cycling and the GCC. We really appreciated the many valuable prizes they donated to the GCC Winter Holiday Party. They helped make the party a lot more exciting and fun!

Let's show them our support with our spring cycling purchases and repairs.
