Commuter Group Get Together

Saturday, January 23

To help people uphold new year's resolutions to ride more, talk about good gear and practices for cold weather riding, and whatever else people want to discuss about commuting, it's time for another GCC Commuter Cyclist get-together. We will meet at 5:30 PM at a location TBA.

The meeting location will be posted soon in the Members Area, and will be emailed to all who RSVP. Please RSVP in the Members Area!

2016 GCC Board of Directors

Congratulations to Bob Stevens, our new Director at Large, and to Stephen Perz, who has moved up into the new Education Director seat.

Officers continuing in their current positions are Jayson O'Mahoney, President, Ally GIll, Vice President, Rob Robins, Secretary, Dave Wagner, Treasurer, Roger Pierce, Chief of Staff, Chandler Otis, Picnic Manager, Jim Wilson, Regional Brevet Administrator, and Todd Leedy, Ride Captain.

We have a new position, Membership Services Director. This person will be responsible making sure that all new members get a personal call soon after joining the Club. We want to be able to have someone personally answer questions, such as "What group should I ride with?", "Can I just show up for a ride?", "How can I get help fixing my bike?", etc. We've found that many persons join the Club, but never get up the nerve to actually participate in any rides or events. This position is not limited to the calling function, it is up to the imagination and drive of the incumbent to make it work.

The Board meets once a month, usually on a Monday evening. Contact the Chief of Staff or any Board member if you are interested in being on the Board.
