GCC on Facebook

Facebook is rapidly becoming the media of choice for cyclists in our area to post their accomplishments and to discuss the topics of the day.

Ally Gill started our first page, the Friends of the Gainesville Cycling Club, which is now the primary discussion area for Club members.  It sure beats getting a gazillion GCCMail messages in your inbox every day.  This is a group page, which you must join to use (an Admin has to let you in).

We've set up an Official GCC page that we're currently using to post photos of Club events, plus a few other things.  This is a page that it helps us when you "Like" it.

The GCX Road Riding Group has set up their own page, Limerock Cyclist, to document the limerock cyclocross scene in and around Gainesville.  This is another page you should like! Look for ride reports, amusing stories and photos.

If your membership expires after mid-2015, you should have received your new GCC oval window / bumper sticker in the mail.

We will be sending out one of these stickers with each membership card mailing, which we do when you renew.  If you didn't get one (since your membership expires in the next 18 months), you can get one now by extending your membership, and thus getting a new membership card with a sticker.  AND you'll save by being in the bonus!

Gentleman's CX Ride

An UP TO six person (ladies, co-ed welcome) TIMED team event, taking in approximately 75 - 100 miles of limerock and paved roads. Cyclocross bikes are recommended. Near High Springs on Sunday, February 2nd, 2014. Meet at 9:00am, first team rolls at 9:30am, then five minute intervals.

For this event, there are NO limitations on team members. By that I mean, I don't care about licensed race categories or such. If you want to bring along a full ringer team of all Cat 1's, have at it. The emphasis is on HAVING FUN!

See the Facebook page for full information.
