This year we are offering a number of very special t-shirts by special order only. The order will be placed on Wednesday! Only entries paid by then will be able to get these special shirts:

* For the ladies, we have a ladies cut t-shirt (also available in PINK) and a v-neck no sleeve shirt. The standard shirt comes in both technical and cotton fabric.

* For the men, we have a sleeveless shirt and a long sleeve shirt (ladies can order this standard long sleeve shirt also), both in a technical fabric.

We will have a stock of standard t-shirts for sale while they last after the order is placed.

Festival Report #4

Registrations are pouring in for the Festival! More folks this year are doing both events.

Most of those riders are coming in from out-of-town! So far, 58 or our volunteers and 52 other club members have signed up to ride. That's out of 1070 members! This is THE premier bicycle touring event in Gainesville this year. If you ride a bike, you ought to be participating!

Many thanks to all of the volunteers who have signed up. We now have all of our volunteer positions for the Aid Stops covered, and all positions on Saturday covered.

There are a few open positions before and after the event, and several on Sunday.

Our biggest need right now is to add a few more SAG drivers for the Horse Farm Hundred. We pay $30 gas money, and you mainly drive around making sure no one gets stranded with a mechanical or from one too many hills. We need one of these persons to ride with Dave Lancaster, the Bike SAG guy, to help him navigate our roads.

Our registration staffs are also short at Loften and at Flemington. While we can get the job done, life will be a lot easier with a full staff -- folks don't like to wait in lines!

GCC 101: Family Memberships

Families can pay for their memberships in the Gainesville Cycling Club at a package rate (currently $20 for the first year, $15 for each additional year purchased at the same time).

The key word is membershipS. Each person is an individual member of the Club, and must do an application to become a member. There is a button to click to indicate that someone else has paid for your family when you sign up.

When a family renews, each member of the family needs to renew. If you have the whole family available when you do the renewal, you can just click through to each member and get it all done at once. If someone is missing, its easiest if they click the Renew button in their Members Area to renew. You can also get to their application from another family member's Me page by clicking on "Add Family Member".

Why does each person need to renew?

Our insurance requires us to periodically capture a release from all of our members.

What is a Family?

We consider everyone living at the same address, plus children away at school, to be members of a family. You can sign up with your roommate, but not with your brother who lives in Orlando.
