Jersey Order Update

Remember that his is the only time this year that you will be able to order the Official Jersey!

Official JerseyThe fit kit will be at Super Cool Bike Shop by about noon Wednesday, and be there through Monday (order deadline day). Remember that Voler has a new fabric this year which may affect sizing, so if you're close to a size break you should do a try on.

Voler has just added a new shipping option, USPS, which will be less expensive than the UPS option. Existing orders will be updated to use USPS if it is more advantageous to do so, and refunds issued to your credit card.

Voler is offering a premium jersey, referred to as the FS (flat seam) model. There are examples in the fit kits. This jersey has flat seams, a longer sleeve that is not elasticized, and probably a few other differences. The cost of this jersey is higher than a standard jersey. When ordering, make sure you are selecting the style you want.

Thanks to our sponsors who are making a great price possible: Davis Monk Financial Group, Gainesville Physical Therapy & Wellness, Gator Cycle, Ryan Saylor - Prudential Trend Realty, Specialty Machining Inc, Super Cool Bike Shop, and Syzygy Graphics.

Ride To Remember Volunteer Status

We need volunteers to do the signs on three loops. The signs need to be up by the ride start time (8:30), and taken down after the last riders clear the loop. Those doing the signs on the lower loops can easily ride the lower loops after putting up the signs. The person doing the upper loop signs could easily time it to do the full century. We're trying to keep the number of signs and driving mileage reasonable by using more people. Email Roger at roger@gccfla.org if you can help.

You can sign up now for Ride To Remember 7. The Pedal Off Party is Friday, April 26, and the ride is on Saturday, April 27. Save steps and typing by clicking the link in the Members Area.

Annual Meeting, Party, and Swap Meet

The big event is March 9. Details and sign up are available now in the Members Area.

We've asked active members of the Trailkeepers and the Millhopper Crew to attend so we can thank them for their service. The event fee is waived for these persons.

There are four categories in the Concours d' Elegance this year. Members will vote for the winner in: Modern Road, Presentation, Antique, and Commuter. Antique bicycles are those manufactured before 1988. To be eligible for the Commuter category, the bike must be ridden to the meeting!

There will be a special order placed for registered vegetarians (you do this on the Me page). Watch the News page for more on this.

eNews is Official

Lacking any volunteers to continue the paper newsletter, and any real feedback in support of it, the Gainesville Cycling Club Board of Directors has elected to discontinue the paper newsletter, and replace it with this electronic newsletter (eNews).

Expect to see an eNews once or twice a month, more of them when a lot is going on, not so many when not much is happening. Most news will first be available in the News column in the Members Area, and will be announced in the daily Ride Schedule transmissions on GCCMail. eNews will be the primary communication with those members not on GCCMail who do not regularly check the web site.

This eNews is being sent to all GCC Members. We will be providing a button that you can click to opt out of receiving it. We'll announce in an eNews when it is available.
