Velo et Cafe will meet in the Flemington Community Park parking lot in north Marion County at 7:50 a.m., and will plan to depart at 8:00 after a brief rider meeting. We will ride the Horse Farms Tours Route of the Gainesville Cycling Festival. (Lots of rolling hills!)  Rest stop at mile 19 convenience store, and quick stops as needed for hydration. Bring 2 water bottles or equivalent in a hydration pack. A mirror and a 50 lumen or > blinking rear light are highly recommended as well.

Flemington Park can be a tricky ride start to find for the first time, as Google Maps actually sends you to the wrong place! Here is the simplest way to get there from Gainesville:

Take I-75 south to the Micanopy exit. Turn right onto CR-234. This will turn into CR-239. Stay on CR-329 for 7 miles. The park will be on your right, just before the red blinking light in Flemington (CR-318.)

You can also view the route on a smartphone if you install the free app. (And you can even get  "turn-by-turn" directions with the paid app.) I'll bring some paper maps and cue sheets too.
