This is a MID WEEK ride for those interested in a ride at this location, time and pace. Meet at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday for an 8:10 departure next to the Chinese restaurant in the Publix parking lot off SW 91st Street at the north entrance to Haile Plantation. We will ride to Newberry via Archer, returning via Newberry Road, with side excursions through quiet residential areas of Haile Plantation, the Jockey Club, and Town of Tioga. This is a moderately paced, no drop ride. Expect cruising speeds of 16-19 mph, with an average speed of 16.5 mph. Cruising speeds may be faster (~20 mph) on US 27 if there is a favorable wind, and we sometimes break into slower and faster groups for this stage of the ride. One rest stop at the the Kangaroo in Newberry. Those desiriing a shorter ride may return directly from Archer for a ride of approximately 22 miles.
