This ride is being posted because Monday is Columbus Day and I’m hoping a bunch of folks will be off and come out to join us a great ride in the rural area of Live Oak, FL (okay, that is all there is in Live Oak).

While the starting place for the ride is the Suwannee County Courthouse, in beautiful downtown Live Oak, the plan is for those riders in Gainesville to meet at the Newberry Square Shopping Center (Publix and K-Mart) to see if we can consolidate to fewer cars by sharing bike racks, etc. at 7:30am. 

The trip to Live Oak is just under one hour. That is nothing at all for a great experience riding beautiful countryside. We plan to find a place for lunch in downtown Live Oak after the ride. Consider this like a little half day vacation. I know one rider who won’t be grumbling about the drive; because he lives in Live Oak. Think of all the rides Tom has come to Gainesville to ride with us; and never any grumbling or bellyaching about it.

I would appreciate it if you would e-mail to let me know if you’re going to ride Monday and also let me know if you have a vehicle that has room to carry any other riders and/or their bikes. 

Given the one hour travel time, if you are going straight to Live Oak and not meeting the group at Newberry Square, then we will meet at the courthouse at 8:30 - 8:45am That's why I want to know if you are going so I will know if all riders are present and accounted for before we roll out on the ride.
