It is now time to taper down for the upcoming century rides next weekend. Therefore this will be a shorter ride. Meet at 8:00 a.m. Sunday for an 8:10 departure from the southeast corner of the Publix parking lot at 34th Street and Williston Road. We will bike to Micanopy via the GHT and several county roads, then return via Wacahoota and Williston Roads. This will be a moderately paced, no drop ride. Expect cruising speeds of 17-19 mph, with an average speed of 16.5 mph. One rest stop in Micanopy at the Pearl Country Store. We may break into a slower and a faster group after the rest stop if some of the stronger riders are in a hurry to finish, in which case a ride leader will remain with the slower group.
